Eternal Rules

Here's how to play Eternal!
Video: Coming Soon

2-4 players
15-25 minutes

Setup
1. Shuffle the deck
2. Make room for a discard pile
3. Deal 5 cards to each player
4. Choose a player to go first

Turns
You must do one action, and at anytime you may play one set

Actions
I. Draw and Discard: Draw a card, then discard a card by placing it faceup on top of the discard pile

II. Take and Give: Ask another player if they have a card, if they do, they must give it to you, then if you successfully took a card from them, then you must give them a card back
If you ask for a card they do not have, but they have a wild card, they must give the wild card
You may ask for specifically wild cards

III. Gamble: Draw 3 cards, then you must either play a set of 8 cards or you lose the game and all your cards are removed from play

Sets
You may only make one set per turn, but it can be done anytime (Ex. After drawing, but before discarding)
Sets you play are put aside and cannot be added to or changed in anyway
Sets are a minimum of 3 in length and must all either be a straight cards or all the same card
After you play a set, you draw cards equal to the amount played

Straights
Straights consist of a chain of unique cards, each card following the previous card in numerical order, with 1 following 8 should it apply

Matches
Matches consist of all the same card

Wilds
Wild cards can be used as any card, and therefore can be included in sets any amount of times

Drawing
When you draw cards, they can either be from the top of the deck or the top of the discard pile, however all the cards drawn must come from the same stack

Game End
The game ends once a player chooses to draw from the deck, but there aren't enough cards in the deck for them to draw

All players may play any remaining sets of cards in their hands, then each player scores their sets, whoever has the most points wins

The game also ends if any player makes a set of 8 cards, whoever does wins the game instantly regardless of score
